'I Don't Have Respect For Him'- Ronaldo Stings Ten Hag In Stunning Interview

Cristiano Ronaldo has in a stunning interview with Piers Morgan attacked his Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag.

The relationship between Ronaldo and his Dutch manager has long been known to be a frosty one, with the Portuguese no longer a guaranteed starter for Manchester United.

The 37-year-old scored 24 goals in all competitions last season under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralph Rangnick after rejoining from Juventus.

Last month, Ronaldo refused to be introduced as a late substitute in a 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspurs and was subsequently left out of the side in their next game at Chelsea.

Ronaldo has only started four league matches this season, with his more younger colleagues preferred.

Reports suggested Ronaldo wanted to leave Manchester United at the start of this season after they failed to qualify for the Champions League but he says Ten Hag and other senior figures at the club have instead tried to force him out.

Asked whether he felt he was being forced out of Old Trafford, Ronaldo told Piers Morgan uncensored: "Yes, not only by the coach but by another two or three guys around the club that I felt betrayed me.

"I shouldn't say that [they were trying to get rid of me], I don't know, but yes, I feel betrayed. I felt that some people didn't want me here not only this year but last year too."

Asked about his relationship with Ten Hag, Ronaldo added: "I don't have respect for him because he doesn't show respect for me.

"If you don't have respect for me, I'm never going to have respect for you."

It remains to be seen whether Ronaldo will play for Manchester United again as club duties take a back seat for the start of the FIFA World Cup.
